The Simpsons Arrives in Psyonix's Hit Game: But It's Not the Car You're Hoping For
We already knew that the iconic animated series was collaborating with Epic Games' battle royale, but this isn't the sole place where fans can immerse themselves in the world of Springfield. The beloved show is coming over to Rocket League, introducing an vehicle customization option that will also be compatible in Fortnite. However, if gamers will actually want to use it is another question, as fans have their hearts set on just one Simpsons car everyone is eager to get behind the wheel of, and this isn't it.
The Dream Vehicle
While many gamers would undoubtedly love to face off behind the wheel of The Homer—the famously flawed car Homer designed himself in the classic installment "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?"—regrettably, that isn't what players are receiving. We aren't even getting the massive SUV, the enormous truck showcased in the tenth season. Rather, players will obtain the Simpsons' standard beat-up four-door, which has been in the family since 1989. Though this specific vehicle has seen better days, it stands as an recognizable symbol of the show. And for players who analyze Rocket League car hitboxes, the Simpson family car shares the identical collision model as the Dominus.

More Than Just a Car
But that's not the sole customization item from the series coming to Rocket League. The event will additionally feature a series of challenges to earn additional rewards, all of which are inspired by the show. According to a official announcement, the challenges will require players to "get as many centers and clears as there are the show's seasons, gather boost canisters as if your navigation is set to the Simpson residence, and drive a distance sufficient for picking up the perfect donuts!"
Although the complete list of earnable items isn't yet revealed, here is what's been announced so far:
- Blinky topper
- Homer's hedge-themed banner
- Garbage-themed wheels
- 20,000 XP per challenge
Based on promotional images is any indication, it seems fans will also get rims featuring a television showing the show's title sequence, Kang and Kodos topper, a sprinkled donut boost trail, and rocket boosts themed to smoldering rubber and Krusty Burger.

This event coincides with the major Simpsons takeover of Fortnite's island, which brings a brand-new map of Springfield, in addition to a 30-day Battle Pass. The Rocket League x The Simpsons celebration launches on November 1st and concludes on Nov. 17.
