The Pop Star Embraces a Twisted Persona of Her Own Identity in Satirical Film Teaser
The Grammy-winning artist is preparing for a significant film onslaught in 2026, starting with the fictional documentary titled The Moment.
In the film, Charli embodies what she describes as a dark version of herself.
It’s the most authentic portrayal of the music business that I’ve ever encountered, Charli commented.
She further explained in a conversation: It’s far from a live performance documentary, yet the concept stemmed from the demand to produce one.
A Glimpse into The Film
The first teaser, unveiled on Thursday, mixes real clips from her live performances with fictionalized backstage scenes.
The film is overseen and co-authored by the director, who explained that the plot focuses on a scenario where the artist made entirely different choices during the promotion of her chart-topping release Brat.

A Hectic Acting Schedule
The mockumentary is only one of numerous forthcoming film appearances for the musician, who recently featured in three independent movies this year.

Future Ventures
The following year will also include the artist with Olivia Wilde in erotic drama I Want Your Sex, Natalie Portman in gallery suspense The Gallerist, and Barbie Ferreira in terror reimagining Faces of Death.
She recently joined to appear in Dakota Johnson’s first film as director A Tree in Blue.
I’m deeply appreciating my cinematic path, she shared. I feel very, very inspired at the moment in that field, and I only ever aim to pursue projects that excite me.
Musical Contributions
Next February will also see the release of the director’s interpretation of Wuthering Heights, which will showcase new music from Charli.
Additionally, she will compose the score for the drama Mother Mary, featuring Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, set to be released next year.
The mockumentary will be released on January 30.
