Chopper Spirals Wildly into Palm Trees at Well-Known California Shoreline
A helicopter flying near a crowded southern California coastline unexpectedly began spiraling uncontrollably, finally dropping height and plunging into a line of palm trees as onlookers watched.
Recordings posted online show the chopper beginning to twirl above the shoreline then plunging towards the perimeter of the beach, where it becomes wedged among palm trees and a set of stairs close to the Pacific Coast highway.
Emergency Response Update
Emergency responders said five individuals were transported to a medical facility comprising two individuals who were in the helicopter and were “rescued from the debris” after the incident on the weekend.
Three persons on the road were hurt. Information on their wounds were still under review.
What led to the incident was not yet disclosed.

Officials mentioned the chopper was connected to an annual “Cars and Copters” charity gathering set for Sunday.
