An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

These detentions come after a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the injured in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later released.

Officers arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault near the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were called at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - which police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
